Dichard can't be stopped at Canterbury

What a weekend at Canterbury Woods! A stacked field of 30 players took on one of the area’s toughest tests, with 29 players completing the event. As the round went on, the wind picked up and the greens showed exactly why Canterbury Woods is always such a demanding challenge.

After 18 holes, it was Ricky Dichard and Chad Lawrence tied at the top of the leaderboard at +2 (74), putting on an impressive display of steady golf throughout the day.

Ricky Dichard played outstanding golf all round long. Despite battling through a difficult three-hole bogey stretch on holes 6, 7, and 8, he responded like a champion — playing the remaining 15 holes in 1-under par with calm, confident golf from tee to green.

As the leaders reached the 18th hole, both Ricky and Chad knew exactly where they stood. Chad Lawrence applied the pressure with flawless execution on the closing hole, converting a tap-in par to force Ricky to earn it.

Standing over a must-make 9-footer for par and the tournament title, Ricky Dichard delivered under pressure. Perfect pace. Dead center of the cup. The putt dropped — and it proved to be the tournament-winning moment.

Just behind the leaders were Jonathan Levenson and John Theriault at +3 (75), while Jim Tokanel rounded out the Top 5 at +4 (76).
