Breaking News, LFG to attend 2020 National Golf Expo

In a move we decided to make to continue the growth of our league LFG Has decided to acquire a booth at the 2020 National Golf Expo to be held at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston Feb 29th-March 1st. We are incredibly excited to be able to promote what we do to thousands of attendees throughout the weekend. As far as Golf leagues go, LFG offers something that is very unique and we want to be able to spread the word to as many as we can and know this is the perfect opportunity for us to do so. I know that we have several people who are planning on attending but for any of you who may have a friend who is on the fence about our league this is a great chance for them to come out and learn more about what we do. There will be tons of other golf companies, indoor driving range to test new clubs, a putting area, plenty of beer and many other golf related activities. Booth 642 will be where all the magic is though. We hope to see many of your faces throughout that weekend. For more information on the Expo you can check out their site at

Patrick Reeds Lawyer sends Brandel Chamblee a cease and desist letter

An attorney for Reed sent Chamblee a cease-and-desist letter on Dec. 13, which Golfweek obtained, to demand he stop calling the golfer a “cheater.” The letter would have arrived on day two of the Presidents Cup.

“The purpose of this letter is to obtain assurance that you will refrain from any further dissemination, publication or republication of false and defamatory statements concerning Mr. Reed, including any allegations that he ‘cheated’ at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas,” wrote lawyer Peter Ginsberg, per Golfweek.

Is this real life, Patrick Reed is being called a cheater because…you know he blatently cheated and then becomes a little bitch when Chamby Wamby calls him out on it. Deal with it man and do your best to earn some respect back, this is not the way to win back any fans though.

Pete Dye Passes away at age 94

Pete-Dye-at-Pete-Dye-Golf-Club-early-90s“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Pete Dye, a true friend of the PGA TOUR and one of the most important course architects of this or any generation.

“A 2008 inductee into the World Golf Hall of Fame, Pete’s influence is far-reaching, leaving a global imprint on both the amateur and professional games. He designed some of the best known golf courses in the world, though none more recognizable than THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. It was here that Pete masterfully brought Commissioner Deane Beman’s revolutionary stadium golf concept to life, melding Deane’s vision with a brilliantly designed course that is celebrated annually as one of the game’s great strategic courses during THE PLAYERS Championship.

“Pete, though, was always quick to credit his beloved wife, Alice, with his success, including the concept for his most famous hole, the 17th island green at TPC Sawgrass. Together, Pete and Alice made a formidable team in golf and life, and with sons Perry and P.B., themselves successful course architects, they are recognized as one of the most accomplished families in golf.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Dye family.”

Sad day in the golf world, Thoughts and prayers to the Dye family. Thanks Pete for all you did for the game of golf.

Baylor Hoops fan wins quick $5,000 with 95 foot putt

This is incredible, I have seen this done a handful of times but usually it takes putting the ball through a hole in a cardboard sign so then it just is reliant on the line with no pace. This is the first time I have ever seen a participant who actually needed to putt it into an actual golf hole which adds a whole new level of difficulty.

This is the first time in the 16 years of existence of this contest someone has won…and in my opinion, if you hit this shot you should get a full years tuition…just my two cents.

Justin Thomas wins the Sentry TOC

If this is any indication of how the 2020 season is going to play out, we are in for quite the season. On the 3rd playoff hole which only had 2 players left after Xander Shauffele was eliminated on the first playoff hole. Thomas was the last player standing after Reed missed an 8 footer on the last hole to leave the Thomas tap in as the last shot of the tourney. Reed, did have someone who yelled “Cheater” during his last stroke which could become some news, either way, hell of a day and hell of a tournament. There were some players who made shots when they needed too and others who just couldn’t hit the right shots at the right times. Congrats to JT on a great weekend when he should have blown the lead late in that tourney.
