Jon Levenson took LFG by storm over the past month by firing an even par 71 to take down our first Major of the year that was played at Breakfast Hill. After a bogey on 2 he was able to come in 5 under over the next 7 holes to make the turn at -4 and never looked back. He played steady golf as he manage 2 birdies and did not drop any shots on the back. Levy followed up the breakfast hill victory by managing to be the only player who could break 80 gross as he just navigated his way to a cool 73. The course played diffictult for many others but having played with Jon as Bretwood where he came back down to earth. There were many glimpes as just how good his game can be when he is striking it well though. His short game bailed him out and he hit enough greens to take advantage of his looks.
Ted Christie who has been playing some great golf as of late with 2 top 5 finishes in the last 3 events as well has moved up the season long leaderboard nicely.
Andy Lee took top honors at Bretwood by just firing a nice 88 gross in round 1 (+2) and after a few cocktails was able to confidently attack the south course and come in with a 75/62 to blow away the field. Andys game was waiting for a round like this as in the previous rounds Andy had not been able to put his game together. 2nd round of the event proves what the kid can do when hes focoused and playing within himself.
