This past Sunday saw itself a new winner on the Live Free Golf Tour as Chris Lerra came out and shot a very impressive 81 as a 12 handicap to take home the crown. Lerra, has admitted he has
not been playing good golf as of late and was quoted as saying “his game was in shambles” for him to bounce back at a tough Loudon track shows that he may be finding his game at just the right time.
Dan Lacourse (84) and John theriault (86) both quietly managed their way around the course to shoot net 70 and tie for 2nd. Lacourse is starting to find his game and in my opinion has the best wedge, and short game of all the players on the tour. When that is dialed in and he is able to find a few fairways he can be a low 80’s guy more often than not. Theriault has been striking the ball well, and has been good off the tee for a while now, but has had troubles ending holes with up and downs and has missed some short putts in years past, if he is able to rectify his putting, he could do some damage going forward. Theriault has had some great finishes this month as he had a T1, and T2 has now surged up the leaderboard to take the lead in the season long race.
*Surprise of the week, Stud Joe Forbush who came out firing with a beautiful 79 at Canterbury woods 2 weeks ago, followed it up with a disastrous 99 at Loudon and when asked what happened only had 1 word for me “Shanks” I think we all know Joe will be fine and will be a force on the tour going forward.
